This year the Chronic Lyme Summit runs from July 27th to August 7th. I’m very happy to hear that it is still free! And I’m extra excited to attend this year to see what advice some of these experts might have for Lyme Disease patients in navigating COVID19.
There are always so many speakers at this summit. This year I’ve decided to be a little pickier. So here’s my reduced list of 5 speakers I’ll be checking out and why.
DAY 1: JULY 27, 2020
Richard Horowitz, MD
Updated Treatments for Lyme and Tick-Borne Disorders
Dr. Horowitz is probably the most well-known doctor in the Lyme space. He wrote Why Can’t I Get Better, which I’ve summarized here. It’s worth the read, though a bit disappointing in terms of practical solutions. (He is a master of sounding clever while thoroughly confusing you with layered problems. Still, I’m probably most looking forward to hearing some of his new findings since writing his last book.
Horowitz will cover:
- Political updates on Lyme disease
- Considerations for pregnant women
- New treatments available
